That was excellent, for your first time ever doing the combat challenge and breathing air! Actually, there are guys on the job who have done it in under 2 minutes. That includes wearing the heavier bunker boots (no tennis shoes). I believe the time requirement for the new recruits is 7 minute or less. It’s only required to be done while in recruit school (when you first get hired). I’m an employee of SVFD and a member of Crossfit Spokane. Maybe someday we should put together a CS Spokane and a CS Spokane Valley combat challenge, or just get together and have a group workout?
